Earthing Africa 2017 Symposium and Exhibition: has a specific interest and focus in bringing industry and academia from Africa and abroad together with the objective, not only to raise awareness of earthing aspects, but also to improve electrical system reliability through correct application of earthing philosophy and technology. Further, to create a platform that channels research and engineering-based solutions to industry in Africa and abroad.

This symposium promises to be a knowledgeable experience, packed with technical information and opportunities to learn from, including other experts, and about technology and field experience. Strong emphasis on scientific base maintains the link with academia to do away with the misconception of “earthing as a black art”. In addition, the practical and tutorial sessions are expected to bring high value to both engineers and field personnel. Earthing Africa 2017 is another initiative by TERRATECH (www.terratechnology.co.za).

Who will attend: The Symposium is open to interested parties in earthing (grounding), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and lightning protection and may include academics, consultants, engineers, field technicians, technical managers, contractors, utility personnel, procurement officers, personnel preparing equipment specifications and suppliers, to name a few.

Sponsorship Benifits

Generic benefits for Sponsors:
  • All sponsors will be acknowledged at the start and end of the symposium by the Symposium Chairman.
  • Sponsors’ Logos will be prominently displayed on the symposium website with links to their company websites.
  • Company leaflet in conference bags– the leaflets must be supplied by the company at least one week prior to the symposium.
  • Slide show will run in the venue during intervals displaying the company logos of all the sponsors.

Platinum

Braai Dinner and Network Session: R100 000.00 including VAT
  • Sponsor can place up to two company specific pull-up banners in the main symposium venue for the duration of the Symposium and one company specific pull-up banners in the registration foyer. Banners to be supplied by the sponsor.
  • Acknowledgement during the event.
  • Sponsor can place up to four company specific pull up banners at the dinner venue.
  • Representative of the sponsor will be asked to welcome everyone – 2-3 minutes.
  • Dinner will be arranged by the Organizing Committee of the Symposium.
  • Special mention on all printed materials.

Gold

Welcome Cocktail Function: R50 000.00 including VAT
  • Sponsor can place one company specific pull-up banner in the main symposium venue for the duration of the Symposium and one company specific pull-up banner in the registration foyer.
  • Acknowledgement during the event.
  • Sponsor can place up to four company specific pull up banners at the cocktail venue.
  • Representative of the sponsor will be asked to welcome everyone – 2-3 minutes.
  • Welcome cocktail function will be arranged by the Organizing Committee of the Symposium.

International Keynote Speaker: R35 000.00 including VAT
  • Sponsor can place one company specific pull-up banner in the registration foyer.

Item 1: Conference Bags: R30 000.00 including VAT *

  • The sponsor can either provide the monetary value of the sponsorship or they can provide the conference bags (subject to approval from the Symposium Organisers). The organizer will gladly assist with suggestions.
  • Company logo to be printed on the bag together with the Earthing Africa 2017 logo, both logos to be the same size.
  • Bags to be approved by the symposium organisers and the sponsor prior to procurement.
  • Bags to be clearly marked “Earthing Africa 2017” and to be supplied and delivered to the Thaba Eco Hotel at least 1 weeks prior to the event.

Item 2: Memory Sticks: R30 000.00 including VAT *

  • The sponsor can either provide the monetary value of the sponsorship or they can provide the memory sticks (subject to approval from the Symposium Organisers). The organizer will gladly assist with suggestions. The memory sticks will contain the technical papers and the tutorial presentations.
  • If the sponsor opts to provide the memory sticks, they will be responsible for loading the symposium materials prior to the event. The content for the memory sticks will be provided one week prior to the event. Memory sticks must be clearly marked “Earthing Africa 2017” and must be delivered to the organisers no later than 2 June 2017.
  • Company logo to be printed on the memory stick together with the Earthing Africa 2017 logo, both logos to be the same size.
  • Memory sticks to be approved by the Symposium Organisers and the sponsor prior to procurement.

Item 3: Printing of proceedings: R25 000.00 including VAT

  • This includes the symposium Abstract Book with the Programme, Technical paper abstracts and Tech Market summaries.
  • Includes the supply and delivery of the above.
  • The Abstract Book will have an acknowledgment on the first page.
  • The cover will display the Earthing Africa Symposium logo.
  • Back cover can be used by the sponsor to provide details of the company or new technologies. Layout to be provided by the sponsor and is to be approved by the Symposium Organisers.

Item 4: A4 Folder, Notepad and Pens: R20 000.00 including VAT *

  • The sponsor can either provide the monetary value of the sponsorship, or they can provide the A4 Folder, Notepad and Pens (subject to approval from the Symposium Organisers). The organizer will gladly assist with suggestions.
  • Company logo to be printed on the Folder together with the Earthing Africa logo, both logos to be the same size.
  • Notepads and pens do not need to be branded with the Symposium logo. Branding is at the discretion of the sponsor.
  • A4 Folder, Notepad and Pens to be approved by the Symposium Organisers and the sponsor prior to procurement.
